Principal's welcome

St Mary’s is a Church of England Primary School providing education for children from 4 to 11 years.

At St Mary’s we want children to feel part of a Christian family.  We want them to feel valued, confident and excited about their learning. Throughout their time here, they will experience the joys of being creative, solving problems and making discoveries, leading to success and achievement.

We encourage our children to question, reflect and make informed choices, so that they can develop into tomorrow’s rounded citizens. This not only prepares them for their education in later years, but develops the skills required to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

We strive to give all of our children a sense of belonging and pride in St Mary’s. At the same time we are aware that each child is unique so we track the progress and needs of each of our pupils individually, celebrating all achievements.

We know how important parents are to the success of children’s learning at St Mary’s and encourage parents to play an active role in their children’s education.

If you would like to visit and see how special St Mary’s is then please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to meeting you.

Miss Sarah Whitlock
